About Workday Calculator

Count Mon-Fri business days between two dates. Optional country preset for public holidays — US (federal), UK (England & Wales), India (national). Add N workdays to a date for SLA and delivery calculations. Useful for legal deadlines, shipping ETAs, vacation planning.

When workdays matter more than days

  • SLA tracking — “Resolve within 5 business days”
  • Legal deadlines — court filings, response periods
  • Shipping ETAs — “Arrives in 3 business days”
  • Payroll dates — usually fall on the next business day if a holiday lands
  • Vacation planning — counting how many vacation days a 2-week trip uses

Calendar days mislead — 5 days that crosses a holiday weekend can be 7 actual elapsed days.

Common workflows

Calculate an SLA due date. Ticket opened Jan 22, SLA 3 business days → due Jan 25 (assuming no holidays).

Plan vacation around holidays. Long weekend Memorial Day + 2 vacation days → 5-day weekend.

Audit payroll cycles. Pay date Friday, but Friday is a holiday → previous Thursday.

Cross-country contracts. Use the country dropdown to compute under the contract jurisdiction’s calendar.
